CLINDAMYCIN
Clindamycin is a antibiotic, used for the treatment of numerous infections, including but not limited to septicemia, intra-abdominal infections, lower respiratory infections, gynecological infections, bone and joint infections, and skin and skin structure infections.
Clindamycin is also used in the treatment of streptococcal pharyngitis, acne vulgaris, bacterial vaginosis, and severe pelvic inflammatory disease.
Mechanism of Action of Clindamycin
Clindamycin prevents peptide bond formation, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis by reversibly binding to 50S ribosomal subunits.
Depending on the organism, infection site, and drug concentration, clindamycin may be a bacteriostatic or bactericidal antibiotic.
HOW TO USE ALVI VAGINAL SOFTGELS
Alvi is meant to be used by intravaginal route only.
CLOTRIMAZOLE
Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal agent with broad-spectrum, antifungal activity, used primarily in the treatment of skin, oral and vaginal candida infections.
MECHANISM OF CLOTRIMAZOLE
Clotrimazole inhibits biosynthesis of sterols, particularly ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, thereby damaging and affecting the permeability of the cell membrane.
This results in leakage and loss of essential intracellular compounds, and eventually causes cell lysis.

VAGINAL CANDIDIASIS
Candidiasis is an infection caused by a yeast (a type of fungus) called Candida. Candida normally lives inside the body (in places such as the mouth, throat, gut, and vagina) and on skin without causing any problems. Sometimes Candida can multiply and cause an infection if the environment inside the vagina changes in a way that encourages its growth. Candidiasis in the vagina is commonly called a “vaginal yeast infection.” Other names for this infection are “vaginal candidiasis,” “vulvovaginal candidiasis,” or “candidal vaginitis.”
Symptoms of vaginal candidiasis

Pain during sexual intercourse
